Gluten-free Vegan Waffles
A homemade waffle bar is the perfect breakfast or brunch food for a crowd. These absolutely delicious gluten-free and vegan waffles are filled with fresh berries and our sweet oat custards.
Prep time: about 40 minutes
Ingredients (4 waffles):
- 3 dl gluten-free light flour mix (recommended to use one with psyllium)
- 0,5 dl sugar
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3,5 dl Fazer Aito Oat Drink
- 0,75 dl melted vegan butter
- Coconut oil or other oil to brush the waffle pan.

- Fazer Aito Oat Custard Choco
- Fazer Aito Oat Custard Caramel
- Dark chocolate
In a bowl combine the flour, sugar, cardamom, baking powder and salt. Add the Aito Oat drink and melted vegan butter and whisk until the batter is smooth.
Brush coconut oil on the waffle iron and pour the batter on the pan. Bake the waffles for a few minutes or according to the directions of your waffle iron.
After baking place waffles on a plate and cover with a kitchen cloth to keep them soft.
Whip Fazer Aito Oat for Whipping and Custards in separate bowls until fluffy. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces.
Roll the waffles into cones and fill with Aito Oat for Whipping and Custards, chocolate and berries.
Tip: If you don’t want to roll the waffles into cones, place them on a rack after baking (without covering them) to keep them crispy.
